Context
As Magnifi expanded globally within the sports technology ecosystem, strategic communication became critical not only for visibility, but also for market positioning, credibility, and enterprise trust-building across highly competitive international markets.
Alongside GTM communication and event campaigns, I led PR, thought leadership, and executive communications across product launches, partnership announcements, industry narratives, authored articles, and executive communication.
Challenge
The challenge was establishing strong market visibility and authority in an increasingly saturated AI and sports-tech landscape while operating with lean internal communication resources.
This included:
- simplifying technically complex AI workflows into commercially relevant narratives
- differentiating the brand and primary spokespersons within crowded sports-tech and broadcast-tech conversations
- creating communication that balanced credibility, accessibility, and industry relevance
- maintaining communication consistency across multiple global markets and stakeholders
- scaling PR and thought leadership efforts across launches, partnerships, and events
Strategy
I approached PR and thought leadership as strategic market-positioning tools rather than standalone awareness activities.
Key strategic initiatives included:
- aligning PR narratives with GTM priorities, launches, and industry events
- developing executive thought leadership around AI, sports workflows, audience engagement, and production efficiency
- creating communication frameworks that translated technical product capabilities into commercially relevant industry narratives
- coordinating closely with leadership, product, sales, and regional stakeholders to maintain narrative consistency
